Travel Action Day
Travel Action Day - 7th December 2012!
WOW! What a success! Coiste Uaine, pupils, teachers and parents all worked together to make this a fantastic day! Events included a Cycle Safety Workshop for parents, a bicycle maintenance class, a visit from our community Garda, blinging of bicycle helmets, Travel surveys, raps, projects and much more!
This great effort by everyone had the desired outcome - namely to raise awareness about methods of travel used everyday and how they impact the world around us, our health and our quality of life. Hopefully many more people will be using Greener ways to travel from now on!
A big thanks to all who helped in any way to make the day happen!
Please scroll down for more details and photos from the day.
Joe Hollingsworth from Hollingsworth Bike Shop conducted a "Cycle Surgery" for the girls from 3rd class, with lots of useful hints and tips about cycle maintenance and safety. A big thanks to him from Mount Anville!
