The weather is warmer, the days are longer and the signs of spring are everywhere to be seen!
Our annual school spring clean took place on Saturday and the garden got a lot of attention.
A new native hedgerow was planted. This will attract many native
minibeasts and birds to our garden once it is established. Thirty trees
were donated by the Native Woodland Trust as part of the Trees for
Schools programme.Ms. Lambe's class collected the tokens and were lucky enough to win the trees for the school.
They helped to plant the hedgerow against the old brick wall.
Our plastic frog pond was replaced
with one of the big Belfast sinks from the old bathrooms - now there's
reusing for you! Senior infant girls put our frogspawn back in its new
home today. Hopefully it will be hatching into tadpoles over the next
few weeks.
